SoftVue™ Project Launch Gets National Media Attention

The SoftVue™ Discover Breast Ultrasound Prospective Case Collection project launched in July last year and has garnered national media attention. CBS Newspath interviewed the Project’s Principal Investigator Mary Yamashita, M.D., Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, USC Keck School of Medicine, about the need for new technology to help with imaging women with dense breast tissue and how SoftVue is meeting that need. This segment aired in news markets across the United States including Chicago, Miami, Reno, Cincinnati, Boston and Los Angeles.

Sub-Investigator for the Project, Linda J. Hovanessian Larsen, MD, associate professor of Clinical Radiology, director, Division of Women’s Imaging and Director, radiology research in Women’s Health, USC Keck School of Medicine, was interviewed on KABC-TV, ABC7 Los Angeles, where she highlighted the challenges with imaging women with dense breasts using mammography alone and the impact of the SoftVue project in filling the breast imaging gap for these women.
