Delphinus Imaging Physicist presents at Breast Density and Cancer Risk Assessment Workshop
Delphinus Medical Technologies Medical Imaging Physicist Mark Sak presented the findings of his research comparing automated mammographic breast density with UST sound speed measurements at the 8th International Breast Density and Cancer Risk Assessment Workshop in San Francisco, CA. To an audience of around 100 physicians, residents, fellows, health professionals, medical students, Post Docs and industry members, Sak explained how a direct comparison between the two measures has yet to be made, and provided a preliminary analysis showing that 3D ultrasound tomography sound speed imaging with Delphinus’ SoftVue system yields a breast density marker that strongly correlates with automated measurements of breast density. Sak conducted his research in collaboration with Nub Duric, Ph.D , Delphinus Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, and Peter Littrup, M.D., Delphinus Co-Founder and Medical Advisor.
