Service Engineer – Workstation

Position Summary:

As a part of the Operations Team, the Service Engineer will be the liaison between the company and the company’s clinical customers, with a focus on Delphinus’s workstation product and technical support related to clinical research study data collection software. The responsibilities extend from configuration of new workstations to trouble-shooting network failures, software bugs and user training. The role will act as the primary subject matter expert for clinical applications and workstation support. This position includes limited on-call availability.  This is a critical function, acting as the external face of the company to physicians and other radiology staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Install, manage and support hardware and software
  2. Manage and support HyperV/Citrix environment
  3. PACS and DICOM communication support
  4. Support for Delphinus’ clinical image review software
  5. Support for Delphinus’ clinical research tools and databases
  6. Maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, etc…
  7. Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance
  8. Some network management, including maintaining switches, firewalls
  9. Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external users

Education/Certifications: 

Required: Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent related training

Preference toward candidates who have relevant certifications or experience

Preference for candidates who have worked in a clinical or radiology environment

Work Experience:

5 years of experience in all areas identified in primary responsibilities

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with, but not limited the following technologies:

  1. HyperV
  2. Citrix
  3. Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
  4. PACS/DICOM Servers and Communication
  5. Database experience
  6. DHCP
  7. DNS
Knowledge, Skills and other Abilities:
  1. Excellent knowledge of current IT systems, technologies and strategies
  2. Experience with clinical / hospital IT
  3. Self-regulating
  4. Excellent organizational skills
  5. Able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
